Day 14 – Week Two of this Adventure

At times it doesn’t seem like it has been two weeks already. At other times it seems like it has been a long two weeks.

Beautiful, and boring, Missouri

It was truly a wonderful day. Lush and green rolling hills. Freshly planted fields. Some early season hay already harvested. Rolling hills are still a bit of a bore for me. Gear up, then gear down, then up, then down, then………… But there were some nice up or down smooth stretches thrown in now and then that took out some of the monotony. The temp is beginning to creep up. I drank a lot of water on this gorgeous ride.

Another type of earth

As mentioned in Kansas, I wish I had a better grasp on the geology of our earth. A totally different type of rock that was cut through for the road. If I were to guess, this is more solid rock like granite as the other was more sedimentary like a sandstone. Perhaps a reader will be able to enlighten me?
