Day 38 – Into NJ; Flying Flags; End of a Leg

Pennsylvania – New Jersey State Line

The only bridge across the Delaware River in the Philly area that allowed bicycles did not have a “Welcome to New Jersey” sign. So, can you see the state line running down the middle of the river?

Wind in my face

Since I had the wind in my face on the first day of this adventure, May 1st, I suppose it was only appropriate that I had the wind in my face on the last day of this leg of the adventure, June 7th

Going to Atlantic City; Atlantic City, Here I Come

As I approached Atlantic City, first things I noticed were no more hills, no more mountains, no more fields in the horizon.

But not the bike. I didn’t think salt water would be too healthy for bicycle parts.

I was met in Atlantic City by Diane, my brother Jim and my nephew Patrick. We’ll spend a couple days getting the bike and gear packed up to fly with me and Diane to California for the start of the final leg of this adventure.
