Day 55 – Basin & Ridges; A Summit Partner; Antlers; 2nd to Last State

Day after Day

Although I’ve cycled through basins and ridges for days, I still find their desolate beauty mesmerizing. Such vastness that few experience. However, I did find a place where there are 5 acre lots for sale.

My Sweetheart and SAG

How wonderful to have Diane with me. I now get to celebrate a climb with my sweetheart. And what a difference to not be hauling all my gear!

A Most Unique Business

Sign says, “Custom Antler Furniture”. For those of you who find this uniqueness perfect, Location: 2 miles west of Sacramento Pass Summit on US-50/6

Notice the “Next Service” sign

It is a little blurry but – 88 miles. We are staying at the Border Inn Motel, Store, Gas Station and Restaurant. It is literally on the Nevada/Utah border 60 miles east of Ely. Problem: Pacific or Mountain Time Zone?

Tomorrow we’re headed over the basins and ridges of Utah to Delta, Utah.
