Day 43 – A Climb from the Coast; Into the flats

My Navigator, Luke

It was a foggy and chilly start to today’s ride. But it did warm up nicely and we shed the extra layer. Luke road with me again and navigated as we worked our way east through the climbs of Point Pinole and Vallejo. Once through the hills, which by the way, were rather tame compared to Pennsylvania, we rode on rather level terrain. What a great change from climbing. We actually averaged 13 mph!

Tomorrow headed from Fairfield to Rancho Cordova, outside of Sacramento, CA.
